From 2003 to 2004 I was signed to the Black Souls Entertainment label . This was a label into promoting hip hop artist under the direction of producer Mike Spears .I was a featured artist here and did a number of great shows in New Orleans with other artist on the label . The CD "Sunday Drive" was recorded in the BSE studio and marketed as a jazz hip hop or "jazzhop" record . It was very popular in the New Orleans hip hop scene and sold thousands of copies . It was during these shows that I acquired the nick name "SmoothJSutton" .
